The Mai Tai is perhaps the most famous Tiki cocktail, that is associated with tiki-themed restaurants,  Hawaii and Polynesian Culture. Invented by Victor J. Bergeron in 1944 and originally starting off as a rum cocktail, Mai Tai ended up being so popular that it depleted world rum supplies in the 1940s and the 1950s. You know what they say…When in Aruba! Known to have been created at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino in 1963, the Aruba Ariba cocktail is the signature drink on the island of Aruba. Known only to this particular island, this popular concoction is comprised of Coecoei, which is a local Aruban liquor that is one of the major ingredients. Additionally, it is mixed with vodka, rum, creme de banana, along with orange, cranberry and pineapple juice. It is served with crushed ice, garnished with orange, pineapple slice, and a maraschino cherry. Be warned that while this drink may be fruity and sweet flavored, it certainly packs a powerful punch!

4. Tropical Itch

First poured by Harry Yee at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort way back in 1957, the Tropical Itch quickly became an island classic. Additionally, Yee is credited with the invention of Blue Hawaii and Hawaiian Eye. The cool libation is a combination of 151 rum, triple sec, orange Curaçao, passion fruit juice, bourbon, and topped with a float of dark rum and just a dash of bitters.
